Japan’s resident gaming bible Famitsu magazine has revealed that sales of Sony’s PlayStation Portable in the region have surpassed the 15 million mark.
Sony’s slab hit store shelves over in the Land of the Rising sun back in December 2004, and has since gone on to accumulate global sales of 48.6 million units as of July 2010. The handheld has also managed to flog an impressive 214.1 million units of software worldwide since release.
PSP software will be out in full force at the Tokyo Game Show this week, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
